Meta previewed major updates to its video-editing app Edits at a creator event in L.A. The headline feature: an AI assistant that taps into your Instagram analytics — views, retention, drop-off points — to suggest what to make next.
The assistant recommends content using trending audio and generates video ideas based on performance. A desktop version is coming soon, bringing parity with ByteDance's CapCut. A new Beta tab gives creators early access to experimental features.
Meta reports content made with Edits sees 10% higher save rates and 2% higher reshare rates. The app launched last year as a direct CapCut competitor.
